About

I’m a husband, father, author, chiropractor, and a grad student in philosophy. I’m deeply interested in how scientific, philosophical, theological, and artistic knowledge can be integrated so that we might better understand ourselves and our place in reality as human persons. My main intellectual influences include Aristotle, St. Thomas Aquinas, William Shakespeare, Ludwig Wittgenstein, St. John Paul II, Pope Benedict XVI, and Wendell Berry.

I hold a Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) degree from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College, and a Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Regina. I’m pursuing an M.A. in philosophy from Holy Apostles College and Seminary. I’m also a Scholar Associate with the Society of Catholic Scientists.

I’m also the author of Just Whatever: How to Help the Spiritually Indifferent Find Beliefs That Really Matter (Catholic Answers Press, 2018) and editor of The New Apologetics: Defending the Faith in a Post-Christian Era (Word on Fire Institute, 2022).

I’ve contributed to a number of publications including Church Life Journal, Plough, The Imaginative Conservative, Catholic Answers Magazine, and Evangelization and Culture, and have appeared as a guest on a number of media platforms including Salt & Light Television, EWTN Radio, Guadalupe Radio, Relevant Radio, Iowa Catholic Radio, Ave Maria radio, and a number of podcasts.

Most importantly, I’m the husband of the wise and beautiful Amanda Nelson. Together we’re the proud parents of four rug rats – Anna, Emilia, Nick, and Lillian.
